– Clevis hangers are a type of pipe hanger used in plumbing and HVAC systems to support and secure pipes in place. They are designed to suspend the pipe from a structure such as a ceiling, beam or wall, while allowing for some degree of movement due to thermal expansion or contraction.
– A clevis hanger consists of a U-shaped bracket, called the clevis, which is attached to a threaded rod or bolt. The clevis wraps around the pipe and is secured in place with a bolt or pin. The threaded rod or bolt is then fastened to a mounting structure.
