Drop-in anchors can be used for threaded rods in various, such as anchoring structural steel, handrails, ductwork, and electrical equipment to concrete or masonry surfaces. The anchor is inserted into a predrilled hole and then expanded by inserting a setting tool into the threaded end of the anchor, which causes the anchor to expand and grip the sides of the hole.
